Build the economic infrastructure for autonomous AI agents.

Design and build the core protocol runtime — the economic layer that sits between AI agents and the financial system. You will own the PBFT consensus engine, state channel implementation, and the persistence layer (SQLite WAL-mode with ACID transactions). You will extend the MCP Server (11 tools) and REST API (17 endpoints) that expose the protocol to AI frameworks like Claude and GPT. Deep experience with distributed systems, database internals, and protocol design required. Python and Rust proficiency expected.

Own the cryptographic foundation of the AEOS protocol. You will maintain and extend the Ed25519 identity system, SHA-256 Pedersen-style commitments, HKDF-SHA256 key derivation, AES-256-GCM encryption, threshold cryptography (Shamir secret sharing, t-of-n signatures, time-lock puzzles), and Ristretto255 Bulletproofs (Rust FFI to Python). You will write and maintain TLA+ formal verification specs that prove safety and liveness properties of the contract escrow and PBFT consensus modules. Experience with zero-knowledge proof systems, formal methods, and applied cryptography required.

Build and scale the intelligence layer — the ML Engine (Isolation Forest anomaly detection, Markov chain models, entropy drift detection) and Graph Intelligence module (PageRank-based trust scoring, collusion ring detection, cascade failure simulation, Sybil detection). You will design the behavioral profiling and counterparty scoring systems in the Risk Engine, including circuit breakers and insurance pool calculations. Production ML experience with real-time inference, graph algorithms, and statistical anomaly detection required. Python, scikit-learn, and networkx proficiency expected.

Own the phanes.app website, doc.phanes.app developer documentation, and the TypeScript SDK. You will build interactive protocol visualizations, the developer onboarding experience, and the dashboard for agents to monitor contracts, disputes, risk scores, and settlement status. You will maintain the TypeScript client library with full crypto, identity, and contract capabilities. Expert-level TypeScript, React/Next.js, and experience building developer tools or documentation platforms required.

Be the bridge between the AEOS protocol and the developer community. You will write technical tutorials, produce demo applications showing agent-to-agent transactions, present at conferences, and build relationships with AI framework teams (Anthropic, OpenAI, LangChain, CrewAI). You will manage the GitHub community, triage issues, review external contributions, and maintain the developer documentation at doc.phanes.app. Strong technical writing, public speaking experience, and deep understanding of AI agent frameworks and crypto protocols required.

Own the settlement infrastructure — Stripe integration (PaymentIntent escrow, authorize-then-capture, refund on dispute) and USDC multi-chain settlement (ERC-20 escrow on Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Polygon). You will build and maintain the tokenization module (programmable tokens with decay, staking, accrual, governance mechanics) and the immutable ledger (append-only hash chain with Merkle proofs for full audit trails). Experience with Solidity, EVM-compatible chains, payment processing APIs, and token economics required.
